SMS Terms & Conditions

SHIERTECH uses text messaging (SMS) to communicate with clients about account security, service updates, and support matters. These terms explain how that works.

1. Overview

SHIERTECH, LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) uses text messaging (SMS) to communicate with clients about account security, service updates, and support matters. During onboarding or support interactions, clients may provide verbal consent to receive SMS messages. By providing your mobile number to SHIERTECH, you consent to receive transactional text messages related to our services.

2. Opt-In Method & Script (Required Notice)

SHIERTECH clients opt in verbally during onboarding, ticket creation, or account setup conversations with a SHIERTECH engineer using the following script:

“By providing your number, you consent to receive authentication codes, appointment confirmations, and service updates from SHIERTECH. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You can text HELP for support or STOP to unsubscribe. Phone numbers will not be shared with third parties. You can view our privacy policy at https://shiertech.com/privacy-policy/ and our Terms at https://shiertech.com/terms/.”

If you do not agree to receive SMS communications, please notify your SHIERTECH engineer at the time of onboarding or do not provide your mobile phone number.

3. Message Types

Messages may include:

  • Appointment confirmations or reminders
  • Updates to support tickets or scheduled service visits
  • Security alerts or urgent notifications

We do not send marketing or promotional messages via SMS.

4. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on account activity and support interactions.

5. Opt-Out

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to a SHIERTECH text message. You will receive one final message confirming your opt-out. After that, you will no longer receive text messages unless you re-opt in by contacting SHIERTECH Support.

6. Help

7. Fees and Charges

Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan. SHIERTECH is not responsible for carrier or data charges.

8. Privacy and Data Use

We respect your privacy. SHIERTECH does not share, sell, or disclose mobile phone numbers, consent records, or text-message opt-in data with any third parties, except as required by law or to provide contracted services (e.g., SMS delivery through Microsoft Teams). Please review our Privacy Policy to learn how we handle your personal information.

9. Limitations of Liability

Delivery of SMS messages is subject to carrier network performance. SHIERTECH is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
